The Lone Star Dutch Oven Society's 2024 BIGDOG was held in Crockett, Texas at the Crockett Lakefront RV Resort on April 26th through the 28th.  Over 108 LSDOS members from all across the State of Texas were in attendance.

I arrived Thursday night and was treated to a spectacular sunset.

Friday I fired up the coals and whipped up a Cornbread Casserole

Three was a pretty good turnout for Dinner Friday night with about 30 Pots on the table.

Even with just a small spoonful of each dish you still end up with a plate full.

The Casserole was a hit and almost all gone.

Saturday morning after breakfast I wandered around the park and took this panorama of the lake.

Saturday was also a day for breakout classes.  This was Dutch Oven 101

And this was how to build a Clute Cooker

Then after a short nap I fired up the coals for Saturday's dinner dish. Chili with cornbread baked on top of the chili.

After Dinner Dennis and some of his friends entertained us with a Bluegrass Jam Session.

With a 8  hour drive ahead of me I hit the sack and got up early Sunday morning to get on the road by 6am.  As I pulled out of the park I had thoughts of what I might cook at LSDOS BIGDOG 2025 running through my head.
