Peach Cobbler

INGREDIENTS

STEP 1

1 cup butter (2 sticks)


STEP 2

2 cups flour

1 1⁄2 cups sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

1 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1 1⁄2 cups milk or 1 1/2 cups fruit juice 


STEP 3

4 cups fresh fruit

1 1⁄2 cups sugar (Or 2 Cans pie filling)

DIRECTIONS 

1.Melt 1-cup butter in 12" Dutch oven and let cool.

2.Place fruit in a bowl and pour sugar over them& mix.

3.Set a side and let stand.

4.In a bowl mix flour mixture together.

5.Pour Batter evenly over melted butter in Dutch oven.

6.Pour peach mixture evenly over the batter in Dutch oven.

7.Cook time: 45-60 minutes@ 350degrees or until batter comes to top and is golden brown. For 12 inch Dutch Oven for 350 Use 25 coals with 8 on bottom and 17 on top.

8.Note: If using canned fruit pour all of the juice off, can be used instead of milk.

9.You can use any kind of fruit with this recipe
